About the role | Ko te kaupapa

We are looking for a practical, motivated Handyperson to join our Parks and Places team based in Twizel.

In this role, you will be responsible for general maintenance and repairs across Council parks and public spaces. Duties include carrying out basic carpentry and plumbing, fixing locks, painting, decorating, and completing routine asset inspections. This is a great opportunity to use your skills to help keep our community facilities safe, functional and looking their best.

We are after someone who is practical, reliable, and takes pride in their work. You will enjoy being part of a supportive team and bring a strong work ethic and positive attitude every day.

What you'll bring | Ko ngā pukenga ōu

  • Full Class 1 Driver Licence (essential)
  • Trade qualification OR relevant on the job experience (essential)
  • Physically fit and self-motivated
  • Health and Safety conscious with a positive attitude
  • Able to work as part of a team and to deadlines
