Job Description

About the role | Ko te kaupapa

We are seeking experienced Civil Foremen to join our frontline team and help deliver high‑quality civil construction outcomes. In this role, you will lead and support day‑to‑day site activities across a range of works, including general civil construction, roading, and the preparation of footpaths, kerbs and car parks.

This is a hands‑on leadership position where you will work alongside your team, operating plant and equipment when required and guiding others through practical mentoring and support. You will be confident in reading and interpreting plans, communicating clearly with your team and stakeholders, and ensuring work is delivered safely, efficiently and to agreed production targets.

As a leader within the business, you will bring strong interpersonal and people‑leadership skills, with proven experience training, mentoring and developing team members. Your ability to manage challenges on site, make sound decisions and maintain a positive, respectful work environment will be key to your success.

What you'll bring | Ko ngā pukenga ōu

  • National Certificate in Civil Infrastructure (advantageous)
  • Experience leading a team within the construction industry (essential)
  • WTR endorsements (essential)
  • Class 2 Driver Licence (essential)
  • STMS (preferred – training will be provided for the right candidate)
  • Physically fit and self-motivated
  • Health and Safety conscious with a positive attitude
