About the role | Ko te kaupapa
We are looking for an experienced Grader Operator with a keen interest in maintenance grading to join our team working on the Waimakariri District Council Road Maintenance network. The right candidate will have previous operating experience from Civil Construction, maintenance or farming and ideally have some form of mechanical knowledge to maintain the gear daily. In this role you'll be responsible for maintaining the Grader, including fueling, blades and reporting, along with light Traffic Management, network reporting and public interactions.
This is a critical role that enables the successful applicant to have a high level of ownership, job satisfaction, and to be responsible for their day to day activities. You will be someone who is happy working alone, self managing and able to deliver quality work.
What you'll bring | Ko ngā pukenga ōu
- Experience operating Graders in Civil Construction or Maintenance or Farming
- Class 2 full with WTR endorsements
- Class 4 (Required - Training will be provided for the right candidate)
- Previous Traffic Management experience or knowledge (preferred – Training will be provided for the right candidate)
- Physically fit and self-motivated
- Health and Safety consciousness with a positive attitude
