About the role | Ko te kaupapa

Our team is growing and we’re seeking a Senior HSE Advisor to work closely with project teams, supervisors, forepersons and frontline leaders across our sites.

The right candidate will be autonomous, both in and out of the office across our various sites from Rangiora to Rolleston. You will provide practical advice, coaching and support to help our people identify and manage risk, meet their HSE responsibilities and continuously improve the way we work. You’ll also play an important role in supporting incident investigations, risk management, subcontractor performance, environmental compliance and the continued development of CORDE’s HSE systems and processes.

We’re seeking a “real people person”, with the ability to interact with clients, key stakeholders and our workers. This role will suit an experienced HSE professional who enjoys being out in the field, working alongside operational teams and influencing positive change.

 

What you'll bring | Ko ngā pukenga ōu

  • 8+ years’ experience in an operational H&S or HSE role, within vertical or horizontal construction or similar
  • A relevant qualification in Health & Safety
  • Knowledge of ISO 45001 / ISO 14001 is beneficial
  • Practical experience across critical risk management and incident investigation. (ICAM knowledge beneficial)
  • Excellent communication and relationship skills. (HOP Knowledge desirable)
  • Ability to manage competing priorities across multiple, operational sites
  • Competent across database systems, Procore is beneficial
  • A full Class 1 NZ Driver Licence
  • Professional affiliation with NZISM, HASANZ or a similar organisation (Advantageous)
