About the role | Ko te Kaupapa
We're looking for a Contract Administrator to support the day-to-day running of our open space contracts with Selwyn District Council. Based at our Head Office in Rolleston, you'll be a key part of the Parks & Reserves team. Your work will free up our managers to focus on service delivery, client relationships and commercial performance.
This role also provides administrative support to our Operational Services team, including transport, workshop and the wider operations group. That means plenty of variety and a chance to work across the business.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Managing service requests from logging through to follow-up
- Review active jobs and finalise them ready for claiming each month
- Preparing accurate, client-facing reporting and keep records and systems up to date, including subcontractor, fleet and asset data
- Support timesheets, purchase orders, PPE ordering and month-end tasks, and back up Operational Services with administration where our teams overlap.
What you'll bring | Ko ngā pukenga ōu
- Customer service experience (essential)
- Experience in a contracting or council environment (desirable)
- Knowledge of AMS and Workbench (advantageous)
- Familiarity with GIS or asset management systems (advantageous)
- Strong Excel and general office software skills, and you're comfortable working with data and records
- Accurate record keeping and a sharp eye for detail, especially under reporting deadlines
- Clear written communication for client-facing reporting
- Ability to prioritise and manage a varied workload
- Full NZ driver licence (essential)
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical, drug, and alcohol test prior to employment.
