Working at CORDE has never been better!
We have one of the largest horizontal infrastructure teams in the South Island working in the maintenance, civil, and water industry. The work we do strengthens the communities we work and play in, with several key long term maintenance contracts throughout the Canterbury region and a number of civil projects currently being completed throughout the South Island.
About the role | Ko te kaupapa
We are seeking a motivated and detail‑oriented Retail Assistant to join our team at the reuse shop located at the Pines Resource Recovery Park in Rolleston. As of 1 March 2026, the shop will have been operating for one year and has been shaped from the ground up to support our community‑focused sustainability goals.
This is a fixed‑day role (not a rotating roster) and includes one weekend shift each week. As part of this community‑focused retail environment, you will play an important role in ensuring smooth store operations and delivering excellent customer service.
In this hands‑on position, key responsibilities include sorting and preparing donated goods, maintaining clean and organised retail and receiving areas, and carrying out minor repairs to ensure items are suitable for sale. Using good judgement, you will assess incoming donations and determine what can be accepted based on condition and value.
Preferred applicants will have knowledge of second‑hand goods, strong customer service skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a busy, people‑focused environment.
